At about 12:30 this afternoon, a silver Mercedes hit a halal cart near the corner of Sixth Avenue and 45th Street. Workers from the cart were placed in neck braces and treated by paramedics afterwards, while a fire hydrant kept the car from barreling right into a fruit vendor. No word on the driver's condition.
