Floating Beer Gardens

2012_08_licferry.jpgA floating restaurant and beer garden is in the works for Long Island City. Plaxall, a LIC-based plastic packaging company, purchased a 100 foot-long ferry a few months back and has stationed it at the Anable Basin between 45th and 46th Avenues in Hunters Point. Owner Matt Quigley tells DNAinfo that he hopes the vessel will help being new life to the waterfront and it should be up and running by next summer. [DNAinfo]
