Battersby and Blanca Make Bon Appetit's Top 10 List

Two hot Brooklyn newcomers, Battersby and Blanca, have landed on Bon Appetit's list of the "10 Best New restaurants in America." There are no Manhattan establishments on the list this year, but restaurant editor Andrew Knowlton explains: "It’s not like, ‘Oh, I’m not going to pick any Manhattan restaurants, and I’m going to pick two Brooklyn restaurants...These are real restaurants doing really wonderful things.”

The Post asks a handful of chefs, restaurateurs, and writers for their thoughts on the Brooklyn picks, including Julian Niccolini of the Four Seasons, who notes: "It’s a little problematic...I find that you can definitely push wherever you live.” Bon Appetit will reveal the full list later today.
