The Sunburnt Cow to Close for 'Major Renovations'

Last week, news broke that Calexico was planning to move into the Bondi Road space on Rivington Street. Today, reps from the Moo Life Group confirm that Bondi Road will close for good later this summer, and they also announce that sister restaurant The Sunburnt Cow will temporarily close for "major renovations" in a few weeks. The plan is to revamp the dining room and introduce a new menu of "gourmet-oriented food and drink." Apparently, the landlord just raised the rent on the Bondi Road space, which is one of the reasons why the owners decided to call it quits.
