Dale Talde, Dave Massoni, and John Bush will open their casual Park Slope bar and restaurant Pork Slope on August 18, which just so happens to be the birthday of actor Patrick Swazyze. That's because the project is partly inspired by Swayze's action classic Road House. The Talde team tells Eater that Max Fish and Hogs & Heifers are also inspirations, at least in terms of decor and spirit.
Dale is planning a menu of porky snacks, and right now the chef is also working on his own version of Nashville-style hot chicken. The goal here is to offer an affordable dining and drinking experience — think some food and more than one drink for under $20 per person.
