Eater Exclusives is a new monthly series of mindblowing dining experiences. Ranging from special feasts that take over entire restaurants to behind-the-scenes access to chefs and their kitchens, each Eater Exclusive happens only once. So: get on it.[Krieger]
On August 13, Hill Country and Eater Exclusives are going primal. That night, we're throwing a boozy summer hoe-down party to celebrate the cow, that most sacred of beasts, and the spirit moonshine, that most intoxicating of liquors. Yes: it's MEAT & MOONSHINE.
Even if you're a regular at the two star Hill Country, you've never seen the joint like this. Chefs Charles Grund, Jr. and Ash Fulk are working up a one-night-only tasting experience based on the whole cow, featuring meat sourced especially for this evening from local farms. The results will be served at four tasting stations and in an avalanche of passed hors d'oevures including Oxtail Tacos, Smoky Brisket Burnt Ends, and House-made Hot Links with Shiner Mustard.
Also on the agenda: Original Moonshine cocktails, an open bar, buckets of beer, and the musical stylings of badass Bushwick band Gunfight! Tickets are $120 a head (all inclusive) and can be found below:
