The Meatball Shop to Open on the Upper East Side

Daniel Holzman and Michael Chernow, co-owners of The Meatball Shop, have signed a lease at 1462 Second Avenue between 76th and 77th Streets. Eater learns that the Upper East Side location will open in the winter of 2013 and will have around 70 seats plus a private a dining area for up to 30 guests. Holzman and Chernow currently have three other Meatball Shops. One more is opening in Chelsea later this year, and they recently signed a lease for a 11,500-square-foot space in Bushwick.
