EAST VILLAGE — Hundreds of people showed up for yesterday's Ivan Orkin dinner at Momofuku Noodle Bar, and the ramen ran out around 7:30 p.m. A rep for Momofuku tells Eater that the restaurant is going to contact the people that waited in line and did not get ramen when they got inside, and invite them to a second Ivan ramen night. The details have not been finalized yet. [EaterWire]
LISTICLES — Forbes recently released a list of the world's highest-earning chefs, which includes Mario Batali (#5), Alain Ducasse (#6), and Guy Fieri (#10), as well as food world personalities like Rachael Ray (#2) and Paula Deen (#4). Head over to Eater National for the full list. [Eater National]
FUNDRAISING — Darin Bresnitz of Snacky Tunes and Finger on the Pulse Productions is teaming up with choreographer Celia Rowlson-Hall for a new theater/pop-up restaurant experience called The Last Night of Service at Chez Gourmet. The producers are currently trying to raise some funds on Kickstarter. Their campaign's page notes that the production "will combine both dance performance and a four course meal cooked by a well known chef. With the audience being served the same food as the performers in the performance, the viewers will be fully immersed inside the piece. " Check out the campaign video below:
