John DeLucie Opening Bill's; Lunch at Empellon Taqueria

MIDTOWN — As rumored, John Delucie is taking over the former Bill's Gay Nineties space. His new restaurant will be called Bill's, and it will feature some but not all of the design details from the old establishment. Delucie notes: "We’re thrilled with what we’ve gotten and we’re even finding more cool stuff...And we plan this to be more of a restoration than a renovation to keep the spirit of the place.” Bill's will open this fall. TEXASTom Colicchio's restaurant Craft Dallas at the W Hotel will shutter sometime this summer to make way for Cook Hall, a gastropub from Jean-Georges Vongerichten's Culinary Concepts group. The restaurant could close as soon as the end of the month. [Eater National]
