Splashy new FiDi cocktail den Demi Monde is about to launch its chef's table program this week. For one seating a night, chef Phillip Kirschen-Clark will serve a nine-course tasting paired with sodas, cocktails, or sparkling wines. The pairings run between $40 and $120, and it looks like there are a few extra bites slipped in here and there. It will be interesting to see what the critics and bloggers have to say about this one.
At $130, the menu is just five dollars more than the 10-course tasting at Momofuku Ko (dinner), and five dollars less than the 10-course kaiseki tasting at Brushstroke. The reservation site is now live. Here are the menus from a preview dinner last night:
