2012_06_squadronbeer.jpgThe New York State Senate has passed legislation that would give New York beer brewers that produce fewer than six million barrels annually a 14 cent per gallon tax credit. The bill, sponsored by local Senator Daniel Squadron, is meant to restore previous benefits that New York brewers enjoyed that were recently struck down by the courts and would have led to much higher prices for beer drinkers. The bill is expected to pass the New York Assembly soon and become law. Huzzah! [TheVillager]
