A new restaurant is headed to one of New York's most "cursed" spaces. Zagat learns that Georges Forgeois, who owns Cercle Rouge and several other French restaurants, is opening a '40s-themed bar and restaurant at 225 Varick Street called Clarkson Social Club. Over the last four years, this space housed Steak Frites, Lucy Browne's, and Village Lobster & Crabhouse. [Zagat]
