At last, Masa Takayama has revealed the location of his new Japanese restaurant. Tribeca Citizen notices that the chef is applying for a liquor license at 78 Leonard Street for his brand new concept, Tetsu. Word on the street is that this is going to be a Benihana-style Teppanyaki restaurant where the chefs sling the food across an open griddle. Takayama is opening another restaurant of the same name in Vegas later this summer, and the NYC location should open next year. The real question is: Will Tetsu be absurdly expensive, or just somewhat pricey?
