- The Nomad is filled with all sorts of over-stuffed chairs, but some of them, like the ones in the Parlor and the Library, don’t have arms. If you’re a comfortable chair lover, the Atrium is where you want to sit. (
- Brasserie Pushkin: Like sitting on air. Too bad there's no place for your arms to rest, though. (Krieger)
- All of Michael White's restaurants have comfortable seating, but Marea's chairs are in a class all their own. They have A) cushy backs. B) padded arm rests. C) a bit of flexibility in the legs, so there's good "spring factor." (
- A Voce Madison: These swivel chairs provide good lumbar support AND they make it easier to steal off your neighbor's plate. (Horine)
- Eleven Madison Park: Armless, but the back has a nice slope, and there's good "sink factor." (Krieger)
- The Mark Restaurant: These chairs hug you in all the right places, which is good because they were $1200 a pop. (Krieger)
- Bouley: Fancy, but cozy. If you can't make it to the restaurant, you can find the stained version of these chairs on Ebay fo
- Per Se: Good for your posture, which is important when you're being stuffed to the gills with Thomas Keller's cuisine. (Krieger)
- Jean Georges: Those love seats are of course extremely comfortable, but check out that arm/back combination on those chairs. JGV does not f*ck around with seating in his restaurants. (
- Le Bernardin: Les chaises au restaurant Eric Ripert sont très confortables. (Krieger)
