Don't panic, but there was a huge menu change at The Nomad earlier this week. Ryan Sutton learns that Daniel Humm and Will Guidara's blockbuster restaurant has stopped serving the seven-course $125 family-style tasting in the dining room. The menu is now completely a la carte, but if you want a tasting menu experience, you can always hit up the roof. Although Sutton wrote a favorable review of The Nomad, he was not a fan of the tasting, noting that "Humm sends out four of his worst dishes on the seven-course meal."
One of the highlights of the tasting menu was the "antipasti" course, which involved a large wooden lazy suzan topped with snacks, and paper envelopes full of fresh charcuterie. Hopefully, that bizarre presentation will find a home on the a la carte menu.
