Diablo Royale Este Space Now on the Market

Things are not looking good for Diablo Royal Este on Avenue A. Although the restaurant is still open for business, the space is now on the market. The listing notes that the space comes with a 400 square foot backyard and a "legal lower level with bar and seating." Also, the Local EV learns that the restaurant is in danger of losing its liquor license.

At a hearing last month, the SLA agreed to renew the bar's license in September if the owners closed the back patio at 9 p.m. during the week and at 10 p.m. on the weekend, for one full year. Owner Jason Hennings apparently did not agree to these terms, so unless he files a special proceeding against New York State, the restaurant will lose its license this fall.
