Trump Soho's original restaurant and nightlife plan was ambitious; Miami imports Quattro and the hotel's ultralounge Kastel both bombed horrifically in New York. Now instead of looking south, Trump Soho is looking to California to make the spaces work. Eater learns that in addition to opening another New York outpost of Japanese restaurant Koi in the condotel, Koi Group CEO Nick Haque will be operating the former Kastel space as well.
Hague has inked a deal with Los Angeles nightlife veteran Darren Dzienciol to operate Bartelier, a new ultralounge in the hotel. Construction will begin soon and Bartelier is expected to open later this fall. And since it's in the Trump Soho, chances are that Bartelier will be the most ultra of ultralounges in the entire galaxy.
