Nic Ratner and Robert Morgan, owners of East Village bars Shoolbred's and Ninth Ward, are opening a new spot this week called Kingston Hall at 149 Second Avenue in the former Holy Basil space. Grub Street learns that Kingston Hall will be a "Jamaica in 1962" themed bar with a rum-focused bar program and a menu of Jamaican-inspired upscale pub food. Expect a Friday opening. [GS]
