A true summer surprise: Seamus Mullen, of runaway hit Tertulia, is going to be the chef at a seasonal cafe in front of The Standard Hotel in the MePa. He'll serve a menu of tapas and grilled dishes, including a black sea bass and a rib-eye steak for two. He tells Flo Fab: "This is not meant to be an overarching culinary experience...It’s food that’s part of the enjoyment of eating outdoors.” The cafe, dubbed The Standard Plaza, will open later this month and close on September 30.
Also: some of the produce used in the food will come from Andre Balazs's upstate farm.
