That was fast: chef Phillip Kirschen-Clark has left ambitious new Financial District bar and restaurant Demi Monde. The project opened at the end of May with a menu of bar snacks from Kirschen-Clark, and the chef started serving a fancy $130 tasting menu just two weeks ago. Management says that they're going to be "revising the entire food program." They plan to offer a lot more food in the lounge, and the chef's table experience will be tweaked as well. All these changes should roll out in the next few weeks
Before coming to Demi Monde, Kirschen-Clark was the chef at Vandaag in the East Village. That restaurant closed a few weeks ago.
