Andrew Carmellini isn't the only big name chef opening a French restaurant soon. Earlier this week, news broke that Todd English's gothic guacamole parlor Crossbar had closed. Now Eater learns that its replacement will be a new restaurant that English is working on with the Dual Groupe called Chateau Cherbuliez. According to its website, this will be a French "restaurant, wine bar, and vineyard." The vineyard part is intriguing. Will Todd pick the grapes and then mash them with his feet? Only time will tell.
This is English's second French project in New York City. Chateau Cherbuliez is slated to open sometime this summer. And if you want to work for Todd English, do note that they're hiring.
