Welcome to Industry Essentials, a new Eater feature that shines a light on the talented restaurant industry professionals that are not chefs, servers, somms, bartenders, or operators. First up: The Haslegrave brothers.
Evan and Oliver Haslegrave are the brothers behind Home, a design company that has built interiors for restaurants like Paulie Gee's, Donna, Goat Town, and The Manhattan Inn. Many of their spaces incorporate reused materials, soft lighting, and unusual fixtures — it's a look that has become very popular in New York recently. Eater chatted with the brothers in their Greenpoint apartment/work shop about how they got involved in the restaurant design business, and how their work has progressed over the years.
