What: Submit pies by 3p.m. today at the 7th annual Jazz Age Lawn Party. Pies will be judged in four categories: "mom's best," "most unusual," "hobo's choice," and "best savory." Winner's will be announced around 4 p.m. so even if you don't submit a pie, stop by for some sampling.
3) Lobster Boil at Ed's Lobster Bar Annex
When: Starts at 11 a.m.
Where: Ed's Lobster Bar Annex, 25 Clinton St.
What: Ed McFarland serves a father's day lobster feast tomorrow that will feature a whole lobster, steamers, mussels, sides, and a glass of sauvignon blanc for $34. Dad's also get a complimentary draft beer.4) Pig Butchering Class at Alobar
When: Sunday, 5:30 p.m.
Where: Alobar, 46-42 Vernon Boulevard
What: Chef Ian Kapitan will lead a pig butchering class tomorrow at Long Island City restaurant Alobar. $100 gets you entry, beer, and a dish that Kapitan will whip up with the products of your labor. 5) The Seed: A Vegan Experience
When: Today 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Sunday, 10 a.m. t0 5 p.m.
Where: 82Mercer, 82 Mercer St.
What: Immerse yourself in this two day everything-vegan event. General admission is $20 and gets you access to 80 vendors, cooking demonstrations, and lectures by experts in the field.
