Over on Twitter, Dinex Group Beverage Director Daniel Johnnes and DB Bistro Moderne Chef Sommelier Caleb Ganzer are test-driving "a new way to order wine" by auctioning off a bottle of 1996 Jadot Beaune 1er Cru Chouacheux (which is priced at $145 on the Daniel wine list) to the highest bidder, to be consumed at DB Bistro Moderne. Bidding begins at $35 and will close by 5 p.m. EST today. It's the first of an ongoing series of auctions that will begin every Monday at 12p.m. EST and close Tuesday at 5p.m. EST. [Twitter]
