Chumley's is back, baby. The owners of the legendary tavern will appear before the CB2 later this month in the hopes of scoring a brand new liquor license for the space. Chumley's closed for repairs over five years ago and the building was completely dismantled then rebuilt. Will Chumley's 2012 have the same charm as the original? Only time will tell.
A few other items of note from this month's agenda:
— AvroKo, the design and restaurant group behind Public and Saxon & Parole, is applying for a license at 615 Hudson St., which is the space that Damon Wise was once attached to.
— The Red Farm team is applying for a license for the downstairs lounge space.
— Colicchio & Sons is applying for some sort of freestanding cart in front of 860 Washington Street near The High Line.
— HSP Partners is applying for a license in the old What Happens When space.
— Sirgio Riva, formerly of Irving Mill, is applying for a license in the Kenny's Castaways space, which went on the market earlier this spring.
