New Cocktails at wd~50; Midtown T.G.I. Friday's to Close

TIMES SQUARE — Sad news for fans of fish bowl daiquiris and jalapeno poppers: the T.G.I. Friday's in Times Square is closing this August. Crain's reports that the building was sold last year, and the new owners are allowing the restaurant to stay open through the summer. The Riese Organization is looking for a new location in the area, but there are very few Times Square spaces available. [TRD]
