B & B Empire Bagel & Cafe racked up $1,650 in fines from the DOH for having poppy and sesame seeds on the floor of their bakery space. The owner notes that it's "impossible to clean up after each and every bagel." As a result of these fines, he invested $900,000 in a new vacuum and special preparation tables to help catch all those seeds. [NYP]
