On June 1, White Rabbit at 145 East Houston will open its doors at 8 a.m. as a cafe, reports Bowery Boogie. The new daytime concept will sell La Colombe coffee, pastries from Balthazar, and a few sandwiches. Owner Jim Chu had this to say about deciding to take the place off the market: "I couldn’t stand the idea of giving it up to a bunch of popped collar jackasses and still walking by the place everyday."
