Bakery/Restaurant Runner & Stone to Open in Gowanus

New, 2 comments

If you've been to Smorgasburg or the Brooklyn Flea, you might have sampled the baked goods from Runner & Stone. This is the joint project of Chris Pizzulli, who is currently the executive chef of Blue Ribbon Brasserie in Park Slope, and Peter Endriss, who most recently worked as the head baker of Per Se and Bouchon.

Peter and Chris tell Eater that they're expanding their operation to a bakery and restaurant in Gowanus, where they plan to make all their breads, pastries, pastas, and charcuterie on site. This is a completely collaborative project, but Chris will cook the savory foods, and Peter will bake the pastries and the breads. They're currently building out the space, with an opening slated for late summer. Check out their Facebook page for pictures of their baked goods.
