The dudes behind hit clam shack Littleneck, Aaron Lefkove and Andy Curtin, tell Eater that they're expanding down the block with a brand new restaurant called The Pines. Their chef Alan Harding is also on board, but the head chef here is Angelo Romano, formerly of Roberta's, Lupa, and shortly-lived Williamsburg restaurant Masten Lake.
Lefkove explains that if Littleneck is "of the sea," The Pines will be "of the land." The boys are about 80 percent done with construction, and they hope to open in early July. Although Masten Lake only had a brief run, the restaurant certainly had a cult following, so it will be exciting to see what Romano does next.
