It's all happening at Demi Monde, the long in-the-works FiDi cocktail lounge/cafe/restaurant from Alex Day and Death & Co's David Kaplan. Eater hears that the owners are hosting preview dinners this week, with a grand opening slated for next weekend.
Vandaag-vet Phillip Kirschen-Clark is the chef here. He's going to be cooking the bar snacks that will be offered in the lounge, as well as the food that will be served in the restaurant space downstairs. Word on the street is that he's working on a chef's table with about 12 seats where he'll serve a tasting menu. The way things are coming together, it sounds like this could be a bit like Atera, but more casual.
The project officially opens to the public on May 18, but the rumor is that they'll start letting regular customers into the space as early as this Saturday night.
