Today, GQ's restaurant critic Alan Richman drops his list of the ten best restaurants in NYC, and there are a few surprises on there. Lincoln, a noted favorite of Richman's, did not make the list, but "stunning and diverse" sushi restaurant 15 East lands at number ten, the Salon at Per Se (not the dining room) is at number eight, and Bouley is included at number nine, because Richman asserts that the chef is back on his game.
The rest of the list is made up of the four star big boys (EMP, Del Posto, Jean Georges, Daniel, Le Bern), plus Corton in Tribeca, which is at number three. Cesar Ramirez's Brooklyn Fare gets the number one spot. Le Bernardin's Eric Ripert comments on Richman's choice: "There is not another place like Brooklyn Fare on the planet, maybe the galaxy. This guy is a fucking genius, and this is the best restaurant we have in New York."
