From May 4 - 7 the annual Frieze Art Fair will take take place inside a giant snaking tent on Randall's Island. And the art lovers—paying $40 a head for admission—won't go hungry, as a handful of some of New York's buzziest restaurants are setting up shop for the weekend.
Frankies Spuntino will host a 72-seat restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. And they're taking reservations. Roberta's will be slinging pizzas on a riverside deck with communal seating. Also by the river: a temporary version of The Standard Biergarden. The Fat Radish will have two salad-centric cafes inside the fair, and Sant Ambroeus will have a stand with views of the fair's sculpture park. They'll offer their paninetti and cornetti sandwiches alongside cookies, coffee, and desserts.
And to think the Armory Show seemed so impressive with that vegetarian food truck.
