Next month, San Francisco chef Danny Bowien will open the first NYC location of his hit restaurant Mission Chinese Food. And, with just a few week to go before the opening, it looks like Bowien & Co. are trying to raise a little extra cash to cover the final expenses. This weekend, the official Mission Chinese Food Twitter account dropped a link to an eBay page where they're auctioning off a private party at the restaurant for 40 people. The price is $3,000:

This auction is for a lavish private dinner party for 40 people at Mission Chinese Food's new location in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. The party will be hosted by chef Danny Bowien and will include one or more large format off-menu items along the lines of whole fish/seafood, primal cuts or salt-baked fowl, as well as favorites from the menu, and will include an array of specialty cocktails and gratuity.

There is a caveat:

Disclaimer: the restaurant is not open yet and is scheduled to open during the month of May. The restaurant will not be able to accommodate the party until two months after the restaurant opens to the public. The dinner party may only be scheduled for a night when the restaurant is closed, likely to be a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday.
And if you don't have 3K to throw around, you can attend the friends and family dinner for just $65 per person.
