This morning, husband and wife duo Noah and Rae Bernamoff opened Mile End Sandwich, the casual all-day spinoff of their acclaimed Boerum Hill delicatessen Mile End. The kitchen here is much bigger than the one at the original location, so the Bernamoffs are able to offer a fairly long list of sandwiches, breakfast items, snacks, soups, sides, and even a few salads. In addition to the now-famous smoked meat sandwich, the menu includes smoked lamb sausage on a roll, smoked turkey on rye, chopped liver on pletzel, and a delectable creation made with pickled veal tongue and raisin marmalade on pumpernickel.

On the side, you can also get poutine topped with smoked meat. Mile End Sandwich is counter-service only, but there are plenty of tables if you want to eat your smoked meat or veal tongue sandwich standing up. Take a look around, and check out the menu below.
