There are some big changes coming to Momofuku's Midtown restaurant, Má Pêche. Ever since former sous chef Paul Carmichael took over the kitchen, the menu has been drifting away from the French Vietnamese cuisine that opening chef Tien Ho loved. Reps from the Momofuku Mothership tell Eater that now, the focus is shifting to American cuisine. Although many of the older dishes are currently available, Má Pêche will debut brand new lunch and dinner menus in the coming weeks.
David Chang hinted at the changes earlier today by tweeting: "Chef Paul Carmichael & Má Péche team slow unveil of new menu over next couple weeks. About as vietnamese as Ssäm bar 2012 = burritos.Tasty."
