The Lawn to Replace FoodParc in The Eventi Hotel

Gael Greene reports that Jimmy Haber's ESquared Hospitality is replacing futuristic food hall FoodParc in The Eventi Hotel with a new temporary restaurant called The Lawn. This will be a combination of two of their other concepts: Go Burger and Fish Shack. A partner at ESquared tells Gael that a designer will overhaul Syd Mead's space with a "natural, real look," and the set-up will allow guests to take their food out onto the courtyard, where they can watch movies and sporting events on the massive outdoor jumbotron.

Last month, Ms. Greene first reported on ESquared's takeover of FoodParc and Bar Basque, which were operated by Jeffrey Chodorow's China Grill Management. Although ESquared has yet to make an official announcement about the revamp, workers at the hotel confirm that FoodParc and Bar Basque will shutter in the next few weeks. ESquared is expected to announce permanent replacements for FoodParc and Bar Basque in the coming months.
