When he was 2 years-old in 1976, Times writer Bill Shultz was given a membership to the Keens Steakhouse Pipe Club, meaning his very own long stemmed churchwarden would always be waiting for him whenever he came for a steak and a smoke. He never used the membership, but 36 years later, post smoking ban, Keens was able to find the dusty pipe in the storage room of 90,000. It just took a few weeks. [NYT]
