Take a Look Around The Nomad, Opening Tonight

Feast your eyes on the red velvet drapes, towering book shelves, and comfy chairs of Will Guidara and Daniel Humm's follow up to Eleven Madison Park, The Nomad. As you might have heard, she opens for dinner tonight at 5:30 PM, with breakfast and lunch rolling out tomorrow. The general manager here is Jeffrey Tascarella, formerly of Scott Conant's empire and Tenpenny in Midtown, and the chef de cuisine is Abram Bissel, formerly of EMP.

As Humm and Guidara have noted before, this restaurant is going to have a much looser feel than their four-star fine dining palace just a few blocks away. They're pitching this as a place where you can grab a drink and a casual bite, or settle in for a longer meal of foie gras, bone marrow with parsley, and $22 carrots. Also, if you want, you can go crazy and order bottle service or the seven-course tasting menu (but you probably don't want to do those both in the same night). The space features four main rooms: the dining room, the fireplace room, the atrium (the one with the skylight), and the library. There's also a big bar serving fancy modern and classic cocktails. Take a look around, and check out the menus here.
