1 Rockefeller Plaza, Midtown
Status: Certified Open
After months of delays, the Midtown location of SF-based coffee company Blue Bottle is finally open. The shop is located on the concourse level of Rockefeller Center, between the 'wichcraft and the ladies restrooms in a former UPS store. This is the third NYC-area location of the cult coffee roaster, which also has a massive Williamsburg cafe and roastery, and a sleek, brand new cafe in Chelsea. The company made the official announcement on Twitter earlier this morning.
The new store features the same selection of espresso drinks, pour-over coffees, and addictive iced coffee beverages found at the other locations, plus a number of fresh pastries. The coffee bar takes up most of the space, but there are counters by the windows where you can stand and sip your drinks. This is the biggest coffee opening in Midtown in a long time, so don't be surprised if you find a line snaking out the door.
