Diner's Journal gets some more juicy details on that steakhouse/catamaran-building facility that the M. Wells team is opening up soon. Chef Hugue Dufour and his wife Sarah Obraitis will set up shop in a vacant warehouse space at 43-15 Crescent Street in Long Island City, not too far away from the location of their critically acclaimed diner, which closed last summer.
The new place will serve steaks and "European-style" cuts of meat, with sauces and sides, and it should seat about 80 people. Flo Fab also notes that Dufour and Obraitis will, "use part of the space to build a catamaran with the help of some experts and friends." No word yet on when the new restaurant will open, or what it will be called.
