According to the above sad signage in the window of Park Slope standby Blue Ribbon Sushi, the ten year-old restaurant's lease is up and it is closing. As noted above, the sushi restaurant will merge with the Blue Ribbon Brasserie next door on March 1, but we have yet to reach anyone at either restaurant to explain how the merger will take place.
But don't fret Park Slopers: Terroir is coming in just down the block, and there's always the new Franny's, Talde, and the burgeoning BBQ row to keep you fed. For its part, Blue Ribbon is opening a new restaurant in the old Shang space in the Thompson LES and is rumored to be working on a fried chicken concept for the East Village.
