Status: Opening today

Roberto Caporuscio, a Neapolitan pizza maker who made a name for himself in New York by opening Keste? Pizza & Vino in the West Village, has teamed up with fellow pizza whisperer Antonio Starita, the third generation owner of one Naples’ oldest pizzerias, Pizzeria Starita a Materdei, to open Don Antonio in Hell's Kitchen today. At the pizzeria the two men serve what they take to be the "most enjoyed specialties" from their homeland and some "proven winners from New York." Meaning, there's classic Neapolitan pie, there's fried pie (or Montanara pie), pizza topped with ricotta and made with a mozzarella filled crust (take that Pizza Hut), calzones aplenty, pizza topped with pistachio pesto, and and assortment of gluten free and vegan pies.

The restaurant sits about 70, encompasses an 1,800 square foot space, and includes a bar serving high-end cocktails. Check out the menu below.
