Super Linda, Tribeca's Sexy New Ode to Latin America

On Monday night, restaurateur and nightlife figure Matt Abramcyk will open his largest and most ambitious project to date Super Linda, a bi-level Tribeca restaurant focusing on the specialties of Latin America. Abramcyk and his partners Richard Ampudia, Serge Becker, and John Martinez (who own Bar Bruno, The Box, Smith and Mills, and more) will eventually offer brunch, lunch, dinner, and take out (through a special window) at the 85-seat restaurant and will serve specialty cocktails, frozen margaritas, Latin American and Mexican beers, and a lengthy wine list at the bar and lounge. Yes, there is a subterranean lounge, and compared to the breezy upstairs dining room, it strikes a much clubbier, almost 1970's vibe, complete with mirrored ceilings and quirky touches like a painting of two horses getting it on.

Chef John Martinez—also the chef at Abramcyk's Tiny's nearby—will be serving up a selection of specialties inspired by the food of Uruguay and Argentina, including ceviches, grilled meats, and tacos. The full menu will debut next week, but preview the space above.
