Given Ken Friedman was once eying the space and it went on the market in December, it should come as no surprise that Spanish restaurant Oliva just closed on Allen and East Houston Street. Still, it was there for ten years and saw quite the transformation of its surrounding blocks, so, respect.
If all goes according to plan, the restaurant will reopen as a "family-style Mediterranean" restaurant open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner called Mundo New York.
