New York's nightlife scene has been taken over by the French. It all started when André Saraiva teamed up with locals to open the Beatrice Inn, which launched Simonez Wolf's New York career, which led to Andre Balazs turning the Black Bar into Le Bain, which led to Madame Wong's and Red Egg and finally the opening of Le Baron. Not to mention all of the places throwing St. Tropez-esque brunch parties and upcoming L’Experimental Cocktail Club from Paris. It's probably time to start learning French. [NYT]
