Former Knitting Factory manager Joshua Richholt has big, beer-filled plans for a portion of the oh-so-cool Danbro Studios building in Bushwick. Richholt recently signed a lease and plans to open The Well, a 15,000 square foot beer hall, with 11,000 square foot of that space coming in the form of an outdoor garden. Once open, Richholt says that the bar will offer what he believes is the largest selection of beer in New York City, including 60 draft and over 250 bottled varieties, in addition to an abundance of whiskey.
The Danbro Studios building is a former brewery that already houses several floors of very popular band rehearsal spaces, as well a-soon-to-open live music venue called The Wick that is also owned by Richholt. Beyond all of that beer and booze, The Well will also be offering things like home-brewing classes and its very own farmer’s market in its backyard.
