Mario Batali to Make His Opera Debut Sunday at BAM

Chef Mario Batali has a pretty enviable and broad resume—Restaurateur, TV chef, shopping center owner, talking head, Simpsons character, movie star—and now he can add opera singer to the list. Well, maybe he won't sing, but the chef will be making an "extended cameo" in a party scene at Sunday's night's opening performance of New York City Opera's La Traviata at BAM. Bad news is the performance is sold out.
