See any restaurant plywood when you're out-and-about? Send it this way.
1) Upper West Side: The Upper West Side location of Ed Schoenfeld and Joe Ng's West Village hit Red Farm was initially projected for the end of this year, but it sounds like West Siders are going to have to wait a little longer for the super-popular Chinese food. A Red Farm rep tells My Upper West that there's "no firm opening date yet but it will be sometime in early 2013." [PLYWOOD]
2) Prospect Heights: A new café-bar combo is coming to Washington Avenue at Bergen Street, reports Patch. The shop?with coffee and pastries by day and booze and comfort food by night?is co-owned by Brooklynite Bradford Nicoll and Fresh Salt co-owner Sara Williams. It should open next month. [PLYWOOD]
3) Lower East Side: The owners of the Midtown party palace Redemption are eyeing a space on the Lower East Side for a new bar. According to Bowery Boogie, this as-yet-unnamed venture would have a 4 a.m. closing time and American food in a space that fits 70 people. [PRE-PLYWOOD]
4) Lower East Side: Also on the LES, Home Sweet Home owner Kristin Vincent is opening a seafood restaurant at 173 Bowery, just around the corner from Grey Lady and a host of other new or incoming seafood joints. Bowery Boogie has shots of the plywood and interior. [PLYWOOD]
5) Gramercy: A Greek restaurant called Taverna is coming to the Lyric Diner space in Gramercy, pcvstBee learns. The Lyric Diner closed rather unexpectedly over the summer. [PLYWOOD]
6) Harlem: Foot N' It, a soul food restaurant, is opening up at 153 Lenox, writes Harlem Bespoke. And in other Harlem news, the incoming restaurant and wine/cocktail bar Vinateria has gotten a new coat of paint, though the interior's still in rough shape. That opening, at Frederick Douglas Boulevard and 118th Street, should happen next year. [PLYWOOD]
7) Williamsburg: The owner of Pop's, a burger joint in BBurg and Midtown, has partnered on a chicken and waffles joint called Sweet Chick, along with the owner of a nearby organic grocer. Located at the corner of Bedford Avenue and North Eighth Street, Sweet Chick should open January 1. [POST-PLYWOOD]
