Here's a look around Willow Road, a new bar and restaurant in the 10th Avenue space that formerly housed the original iteration of The John Dory. Willow Road is the brainchild of Will Malnati (a former EMM Group GM) and Doug Jacob (a former investor in Tenjune). Jacob and Malnati are also behind the forthcoming NYC location of Toro, which will open next door in 2013. Toro's Ken Oringer and Jamie Bissonnette are investors in this new project.

Todd Macdonald is the executive chef (he worked at Clio in Boston and Cru in NYC), and Top Chef alum Grayson Schmitz is the chef de cuisine. Summit Bar's Greg Seider created the cocktail list. The menu skews American, with dishes like mac and cheese with sausage, stuffed pumpkin with swiss chard, and a beef pot pie. Entrees are priced in the high teens and low twenties. Check out more pics and the menu:

New World Design, the firm that built ABC Kitchen, created the space. Willow Road opens for dinner tonight.
